Helen Maud, 81, Died; Westport Bus Monitor, Loving Grandmother
ObituaryHelen Ann (Goodwin) Maud, age 81 of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Vincent Thomas Maud, Jr., passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021.
Helen retired from Eldorado Tools, Milford and also had worked as a bus monitor for the Westport school system. Her hobbies included camping, jewelry making, and knitting. She ran the household, but in a gentle way. Helen absolutely adored her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Vincent, Helen is survived by her three children and their spouses, Vincent and Dodie Maud of Tennessee, Timothy and Emily Maud of West Haven and Sandy and Vinny Sferrazza of North Carolina; grandchildren Crystal Casey, Jessica Maud, Vincent M Maud, Jr., Lindsaylee Buskey-Maud, J.R. Nickelson, Cortney Hoponick, Timmy Maud, Amanda Maud, Peter Mansfield, and Evan Mansfield; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Charles, Gabriel, Vincent III, Jacob, and Abby; one sister, Estelle Mayo of Shelton; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Samuel Goodwin and Howard Goodwin.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Stratford.
