Letter to the Editor: “Our city is facing major challenges with infrastructure and traffic”
Letter to the EditorDear Editor,
I urge all Westport residents to join me on November 2nd and elect Jennifer Tooker as First Selectperson and Andrea Moore as Second Selectperson.
As a resident of Westport for over a decade, an immigrant and a mother of three, I have witnessed firsthand the dedication, tenacity and commitment of these two strong leaders and believe their expertise will enhance the beauty and safety of Westport. Jen is well versed on the current issues facing Westport and has done an incredible job with Westport Together. Andrea has a solid grasp of the City’s financial position with her previous tenure on the Board of Finance.
Our city is facing major challenges with infrastructure and traffic, and we need experienced and capable leaders to resolve these issues with fiscal responsibility, transparency, and sustainability. Jen and Andrea have the right experience and knowledge of the key issues facing Westport and are the right people for the job. They will ensure that our town remains vibrant and a united community. Please vote Tooker and Moore for a unified Westport.

MoCA and AAPI Westport Celebrate Diwali with the Community on November 5th
From the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Westport CommunityDiwali is one of the biggest Hindu festivals. It celebrates Lord Rama's defeat of the evil king Ravana and his triumphant return to his home with his wife Sita.
Diwali represents the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness and wisdom over ignorance. It is a festival of new beginnings, an auspicious day.
Diwali is like the Indian version of Christmas. Think lit up houses, brand new clothes, great food and lots of presents.
Join us as we celebrate the festivities on 5th November 2021, at MOCA, 19 Newtown Turnpike, Westport, 4.30pm - 6.30pm.
