Built in 1851, the George Platt home sat high and safely above the Saugatuck river and the traffic of Riverside Avenue this morning. Also known as the Clear House, the home sits along a row of historic houses and structures that commemorate some of the original families of Westport as it celebrates today its survival of 171 Winter seasons in the community. Community Prepares for Snowfall; 3-5 Inches Expected
The National Weather Service, NYC has announced a Winter Weather Advisory for the region as several inches of snow are expected to fall over the next 12 hours. Temperatures and wind will remain seasonable and calm, however heavy wind gusts are forecast for Friday evening - with gusts of 25 MPH possible. Local schools have already declared the day a Snow Day, with no at-home learning to worry about.

Westport COVID-19 Cases Up 117 Cases; State Positivity Rate 22.81%, Hospitalizations Up 108 Patients
The Aspetuck District and the State Department of Public Health reported 117 new COVID-19 cases for Westport over the past 24 hours. The State’s daily test positivity rate was down to 22.81% while hospitalizations were up 108 patients, totaling 1,784 patients across the State - 68% of whom are not fully vaccinated.
